Here, Paul reminds us, “… when one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom” (2 Corinthians 3:16-17). Turning to the Lord frees us from the need to pretend we are something we’re not, that we have it all together, that we have all the answers. It frees us to see that we are loved not because we are perfect, but because we are God’s own, beautifully and wonderfully made on purpose. When we drop the veil, we are better able to reflect the image of Christ that dwells within each of us.
In prayer, ask for the courage to remove the veil and for a better understanding of what it means to become more and more Christlike.
